Our boards are pre-waxed before shipping; no wax is included in the box.
- Hand wash only, with warm water and a little soap. Wood is the one material that shouldn't go in the dishwasher.
- Dry it right away and store it standing on its edge. Never leave it soaking.
- Recondition regularly with a food-grade oil or beeswax. We never recommend mineral oil.
Soap slowly washes the protective wax away. Without reconditioning, any wood board dries out and can warp or crack, so regular oiling is the key to a board that lasts for years.
