What can I do with my stainless steel mixing bowls?

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

Pretty much everything. Our mixing bowls are 100% food-grade stainless steel with no coatings, and they come with plastic-free, airtight glass lids, so no plastic ever touches your food. They're built to go from mixing to storing to serving.

  • Mixing and baking: whisk, knead, beat with a hand mixer. The non-slip platinum silicone base keeps them steady, and the measurement marks inside save you a measuring cup.
  • Metal utensils: go ahead. Stainless steel is tough, so metal whisks and spoons are fine. Like any stainless steel, it can show fine surface marks over time; they're only cosmetic and don't affect the bowl.
  • Fridge and freezer: yes. With the airtight glass lids, they're great for marinating, meal prep and leftovers.
  • Oven: yes, up to 200°C (392°F). The steel can take much more; that limit comes from the silicone base. Use the bowl without its glass lid.
  • Dishwasher: yes, both the bowls and the glass lids.
  • Microwave: no. Like all metal, stainless steel doesn't go in the microwave. Warm food in a microwave-safe dish instead.

Keeping them shiny

Rainbow marks, white spots or water streaks are normal with stainless steel and easy to remove. See "How do I clean stainless steel products?".
